I'm a writer, illustrator, and fractalist. A wonderer, wanderer, and an unapologetic introvert. I'm a romantic; I'm inspired by the epic, the authentic, the numinous, and the luminous. Most of all, I'm blessed.
Shawn sent me this book after reading the short from Aldiko. I am an evening reader to relax the mind. This is the foundation stone for a collection I feel compelled to read. The initial story is not over indulgent, it's vivid & an easy read. I have read many an imaginary saga, this is without doubt one of the most rewarding experiences I have had in a long time. Treat yourself, you're worth it.
Wow and Wow again... This is book one and I am waiting with bated breathe for the next one to come out. This book made me laugh out loud, cry, and hold my breathe. Wonderfully written and very descriptive.
What a wonderful BIG story this was. A thoroughly enjoyable fantasy with so much to recommend it. Action, adventure, drama, magic and great love. I particularly liked the mystical relationship between Melody and Yaeko. And Yaeko... without giving too much away, I'll just say her story is very moving. The characters are fully developed, with human frailties and human strengths. Like me, I know that you will love them all.( I have to single out The Healer Luis, though, just because of how often I found myself smiling and nodding at his political observations.) Another point I'd make it that this book is appropriate and enjoyable for all ages. Do yourself a favor and get this one.
What a wonderful tale of a fourth grader as he remembers his first love. All of the hardships with an abusive father and a terminally ill mother. Make sure you have a box of Kleenex when you read this. Very touching and wonderful
This book is very well written and will grab your attention from start to finish. For many, it will be read in one or two sittings as it has great readability and author de Montaigne has a gift for written communication. A striking quote he states from his heart will be woven within the pages of this book clearly: "Childhood...can be stolen. It can be damaged. It can be crushed. And it can be perverted beyond all recognition and all remembrance."
[5 Stars]: Have you felt or sensed something you can't quite explain? Was it in your head? Or do you feel that someone is near but not there. God? Angels? Is your life coming to it's end? So many questions so little time. Have you been good? Think about it. I mean, really think about it.
[5 stars]: If I could give it more stars, I would!
