Yet another great film from 2003, which produced a bumper crop of them: Seabiscuit. It's based on the true story of the legendary racehorse of the same name, and is one of my all-time favorites. I've seen it dozens of times to this point, and it still inspires and uplifts me, and still gets my eyes leaking as well. This clip features the epic showdown between Seabiscuit and the mighty War Admiral. When I saw it in theaters, this scene invariably brought the audiences to cheering and clapping, something that, in my long experience, doesn't happen all that often, especially over time. Yet it did every time I saw it in a theater. Can you name the last film you saw that achieved that? Bet you can't.
